Here’s one of the coolest things you can do in Midjourney’s Niji Mode:

We’re going to use this work by the artist Neco below to generate a bunch of characters, both from existing anime and completely original:

Take any work that you like for any reason. It could be the character design, the colors, the setting, or the art style.

Since we’re using Niji Journey, we send the artwork to the Niji Journey bot, in order to get a link to the image we can use in the prompt.

Right click > Copy Link

We’ll use the copied link as the first part of our prompt, and then add some other random parameters that work well in our tool of choice:

Niji Journey takes the original image and does exactly what we want – generate incredibly aesthetic versions of different characters using the original as a starting point.

Fashion is extremely interesting here – the generation will attempt to merge the original artwork outfit with the character’s outfit.

That’s why we recommend Danbooru as the starting point of any AI artist. You can search for exactly what you want, find more of what you want, and use it to create incredible AI generated versions of what you want. It’s certainly an exciting time to be alive!
